LA TOYA JACKSON – SEXUAL FEELING (PAZ EDIT)

I once found the LP ‘Ready to Deal’ by the Rene Geyer Band at the Salvation Army in Frankston and that always forces me to detour through Frankston on any trip down to the Mornington Peninsula. On one journey to the movies with the parents, we all detoured into the Franga Salvos, only this time I was looking for CDs. Grabbed a few random Jazz, boogie and funk selections, but 1 stood out, specifically for the Lyn Collins ‘Think’ break over a house beat. It was La Toya Jackson – ‘Sexual Feeling’ and it stayed in my Serato crate, but never really found a place on a dancefloor. I finally gave that wave file a CTRL C few few and CTRL V and used some AI to isolate some vocal areas. I put it together with a more abrasive Baltimore / Jersey club style drum pattern. Now it finds its way onto the Supermercado Records compilation SUPER EDITS Vol 2 alongside many other great NAARM edit artists. Super Edits Vol. 2 is the second edition of the popular Super Edits series which saw support from Jonathan Kusuma and Rhythm Section, plus wide reaching local and international plays. This round features another eclectic selection of artists going under the knife including La Toya Jackson, Boney M, Pink Floyd, Model:Actriz and Client_03 to name a few. Edits come from veteran local slicers from volume 1 including Paz, Jake Judd, Stockholm Syndrome, Shannon Briggs, Acid Safari, Eddie Example alongside new addition T-Rek.
